Wendell Swim Club was founded in 1979 as a private, shareholding club.  With only 250 families involved, Members are able to know one another, build friendships, and enjoy the privacy of the secluded location. 

Members have direct input into the management of Wendell Swim Club through participation in activities, serving on the Board of Directors, attending shareholder meetings to vote on Club business, assisting in fundraisers and volunteering in various ways to keep costs low and revenue stable.  Wendell Swim Club is established as a non-profit 501c7 recreation organization.

2025 Membership Costs

 There is a one time fee to buy stock in the pool and become a member as well as annual dues each summer to maintain membership. Membership is for a family unit all living in the same household and includes children up to age 26 if living in the same household.
Additionally, for $15/year, a Grandparent or babysitter membership can be added. A Grandparent pass allows for parents of the primary shareholder or shareholder's spouse/partner to be added to the membership. A caregiver/babysitter pass can be used to add a babysitter onto a membership allowing that person to bring children of the shareholder to the pool without shareholder having to be present.

Annual Dues​

$600 by May 1st
10% late fee will apply if not paid by May 1st
Each Stock Holder will receive 3 Guest Passes.  After the use of the Guest Passes, additional passes can be purchased for $5.00 each

  • via Credit Card online at your Member Splash Account (fee applies)
  • via Check through mail (PO BOX 917 Wendell, NC 27591)
  • via Cash - email Board of Directors to set up a meeting

Additional Membership Details

Transfer of Stock
Per our bi-laws, if a Member does not want to renew their membership, the Member may sell their Stock or request for the Board to buy it back for $10. If the latter, the Member must send an email to the Board requesting this Stock Buy Back.  Once email is received, Treasurer will walk Member through the process of leaving Wendell Swim Club. When the club has a waiting list it is best practice to email the club and obtain contact information for those on the waiting list when wanting to transfer/sell stock.
